Google announced on Thursday the official launch of Site Kit and is globally available for all WordPress users. Site Kit had an early developer preview earlier this year and according to their WordPress plugin directory, current installation numbers are 1000+.
What is Site Kit?
Site Kit is a WordPress plugin created by Google that allows WordPress users to gain and act on valuable insights about their website directly from within the WordPress dashboard.
Who is Site Kit for?
Site Kit is for Website owners, developers, agencies and anyone with a WordPress website who wants to succeed on the web.
Why should I use Site Kit?
Site Kit is a single simple solution to view, deploy, manage, and gain valuable insights from Google Search Console, Google Analytics, PageSpeed Insights as well as AdSense all in one place. In addition, site owners are also able to assign roles and grant individual permissions.
Enable PageSpeed Insights and Analytics in and unlock the ability to find out how people find and use your site, whether page load time needs improvement to improve bounce rate and monetise your content without the headache of pulling data from these disparate sources.
Can I setup Site Kit myself?
Absolutely! Installing and setting up Google Site Kit is pretty straight forward and the official documentation is clear and to the point.
